Long ago in a past life, I spent some years in Pittsburgh and played in a band called The Five. We subsequently moved to Boston and made a whole lot of fucking noise before going straight to hell.
It's one of the tunes we collaborated on during the days on the west coast leg of the Pixies tour in September 2004.
Frank Black's recording of "I'm Not Dead (I'm In Pittsburgh)" appears on his fine album Fastman Raiderman.
